I'm not sure. They were tonked by the French, put up a h**l of a fight and were unlucky to lose to us (England) and obviously just beat a pretty poor Scottish side abeit with a lot of help from the Scots (One chargedown, two interceptions in about 8 mins). Jury is still out in my eyes.

  1. Italy have put in Brilliant "one off" performances in the past, only to be absolutely mullerred in the very next match..If they can do it for two matches -then  best of luck to the talentless belligerent b******s.

    :)

  2. It was a step in the right direction. They need to beat one of the big three sooner or later though.

  3. When Italy joined the five nations I for one was hesitant, but now in hindsight I think it was a brilliant thing for Italian rugby, they have come on in leaps and bounds in the short time they have been in the tournament and that is all down to to two things, more exposure to international games (especially in a tournament environment) and exposure to the international scene with their players now playing a lot of their rugby in the top European clubs. Yeah I know the argument that is bad for Italian rugby, but only in the short term, I think long term it will be good.

I would now agree with letting more emerging nations through and if it could be arranged definitely Argentina, those guys are good as it is, always been dark horses and have always fielded a world beating pack and if they could get more international rugby under their belts they would really be something else.

As for the match against Scotland I though it was brilliant there was a point somewhere in that first seven minutes that I thought I was watching France in an Italian strip. Have Italy arrived, not yet, but when they do you will know about it, and if last Saturdays game against Scotland is anything to go by they will be playing with that (as an Englishman Annoying) French flair which says don't give them the ball 'cause they will do something dastardly with it!!!!

  4. Italy isn't at the point where they have arrived in the Six Nations. The Six Nations is still dominated by England, France, and Ireland. When Italy can beat two of those 3 teams in a season then it will be a completely different conversation. The fact that Italy is in the Six Nations will help the team greatly though, since it will get them more exposure and better player will eventually come there way. Until that day happens Italy will stay on the second tier of what could be arguably the best grouping of teams of the world.

  5. no i dnt think so i thnk scotland were useless i dnt kno wat hapend 2 them!!
