Have Kim Jong Il or his dear dead daddy ever gone to the U.N., or have they only sent others?

I read recently that Kim Jong Il doesn't like leaving North Korea for fear of either a coup or assassination attempts, but I got to wondering, have either KJI or his late, great father Kim Il Sung ever actually gone to the U.N.?
