Question:

Have Richmond progressed in 2006?

I know the team is younger than last year, but these three losses by over 100 points (Bulldogs Rd1; Swans Rd. 6; Saints Rd. 17) are hard to take. 8-9 so far, and last year was 10-12.

I don't blame TV Terry Wallace, but is 2006 any better?

We have shown some fortitude, but can we really challenge for the final in '07?

  1. Those 100 point maulings have shown that we still lack depth....If a few key defenders are out then they get flogged by a good side. There have been a lot of positives though, young players coming through, and I think Terry is a good coach. Saying that it is bloody dissappointing to miss the finals, yet again.

I think we can make the 8 in 07, but the GF? I dont think so.

  2. No. It seems that the Tigers have a attitude where once they get behind, that's it. They capitulate so easily sometimes. It's not ploughs fault at all. He's a brilliant coach. It comes down to the players. Richmond need to have a clean out, and introduce some new faces, and start creating a winning culture at the club. The Western Bulldogs are proof of that, although they still have a way to go, they are proof that it can happen. Richmond have some terrific players, but the culture and attitude at the club need to improve.

  3. Challenge for the title? Realistically, not to hopeful mate.

  4. yes i think they have there doing a pretty good job.

  5. They started off so much better this year than last so I would say they have re-gressed rather than progressed - especially in the second half of the season
