Have Sony TRV 530 without driver. Where can i get driver,will this camera transfer through firewire?

when connected via firewire, windows movie maker does not see the device, and i can not transfer to my computer. Any suggestions, different programs, drivers, etc

The Sony DCR-TRV530 is a Digital 8 camcorder. If you are using an operational iEEE1394A compliant firewire port on your computer, no drivers are needed. Drivers no longer supported - but may be available from Sony - check here:

There are also instructions to follow if your computer does not recognize the camcorder and you are using firewire.

Drivers were for USB connectivity, only. If the firewire port is operational, then it is the firewire driver issue - not a camcorder issue.

You don't need any drivers since this D8 camcorder transfers via firewire.
