Have Vietnam War records been released yet?

I am trying to find my father's Vietnam War records, but it seems that all I can find are databases of casualties....but he lived. Does anyone have any idea where I could look? Or have they not been released yet for personal privacy? Thank you.

Is he still alive? He could request the records' release, otherwise I think those are sealed for 50 years.
