Have You Been Enjoying The Olympics So Far?

If so then you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself. How you can sit down put your feet up and relax watching these games that have been brought to you by a cruel communist regime beggars belief. So do tell me how you manage to ignore and gloss over Chinas human rights record, the Tinanamen massacre, and the oppression of Tibet and its monks?

  1. No as i don't like the olympics and where it is being held, The olympic commitee should be thoroughly ashamed with themselves for allowing this event to be held in a country as twisted as china.

  2. Yes and no I'm not ashamed about anything you say. To say the least the media's have polluted your mind.

Belief of what?? Peace and harmony in the Olympics? Oh yep I think it should be war and unhappiness and that's what the British belief system is, right? Go to war with the war-mongroling Americans and killed 1.3 million people.

Get a grip of you the Western religious philosophy of human rights. Human rights which is a secular religion that the evangelists of democracy are trying to spread to other countries. It is ultimately a insidious religion because like the catholicism of the past, it destroys the indigenous societies it touches. The rampant exercise and exploitation of human rights in the west has already seen the breakdown of many higher values, many more important that the right of the individual to have his own ways. We can't even deport criminals who have committed crimes and may go on to commit more. This is just one example. Yet we want to export this secular religion to others. Shame on you!

I'm sure you will enjoy of how the Tinanamen massacre played out instead of the repeated Western propaganda of spewing out the deceit of the situation:

And Jay Mathews’ intention is clear:

“Journalists have to be precise about where it happened and who were its victims, or readers and viewers will never be able to understand what it meant.”

Tibetans...the d**n nationalist Tibetans. What oppression are you talking about? 49 years ago or now?

  3. I do not enjoy the olympic games i agree with you on the tyranny of china overtaking a country ...but I do not believe in a clown like the dalai lamma a person who is taught to act like a god when he p**s and s***s like everyone else he was a born suicide that is what happens with so called gods like him..

  4. I have not been watching it, but its nice to hear that Wales has won a Gold medal in the cycling.

    Sorry, I mean Britain...

Only one country is ever mentioned if an english person wins it.

If the Scots, Irish or Welsh win one, Then its a gold for Britain.

  5. dude, I know what you mean. Regardless of the olypmic games, China isn't a well civilised town. The pollution is terrible, They've opressed tibetan monks (as you said.)  It's all just ignoring what they've done and  for what? A game of sturdy athletes.

  6. I wont be watching any of the Olympics ......... because I don't have a telly.

  7. Yes, I have been liking the sports that I've seen on TV. I enjoy watching the olympics!

  8. I agree. BUT....In 2012, will you be protesting then about us - I wonder. Britain has got a few sticky questions to answer as well about a few things.

What annoys me really most about the Olympics is 2 things. Why we can't just enjoy the games for what they were supposed to be - GAMES. And why it all has to cost so much. As a British taxpayer, I am appalled over how much our games has cost ME already!

  9. Not watching them.

How is the UK going to be able to afford the next ones?

  10. How dare you mix politics with sport.  Those athletes have every right to meet and compete against each other and they deserve our support.  Thanks to them we will have some happy events to watch for a change and also good examples and good role models for our kids for another change.

    So there!!!!!!

EDIT,  Well said Haz, you are a star.  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚˜Â†

  11. i normally love the olympics but im not watching this time because of the reasons you stated. plus ,  3 million people lost their homes for the olympics. a chinese spokesman said they have all been " re located".  that means whole families living in one sqalid room.  hundreds were killed or injured during construction of stadiums. none received compensation . anyone watching the games in the name of sport is condoning the actions of the barbaric chinese.

dont fret yellow ball steph.  i wont rant at ya

  12. So the yellow cowl has a social conscience? Or is he a rabble rouser?

  13. A bit hard to enjoy the event overall with whats going on.

  14. I'm too scared to watch it, I might get ranted at if I do ;)

  15. You're weird.

  16. The implication that watching the Olympics makes you complicit in China's Human Rights record is unfair.

The only people to suffer by boycotting are the innocent athletes and goes against the very nature and spirit of the games. These are also the wishes of the Dalia Lama, he wants NO boycott.

It is only still the opening days of the Olympics and the HR record is being discussed at length every single day through every medium right across the world. China needs not give a fig what the rest of the world thinks of it but due to more and more trading with the western world and events such as the Olympics it is being FORCED to look at itself, to boycott would close all trade/dialogue and that benefits not one single Chinese citizen.

It is probably one of the most influential things that can happen in China to bring about change. Sitting in a house full of Chinese goods with a cats @rse mouth and a supposed moral stance brings about change for NO-ONE. It ill be the same people who won't give a flying F about the Chinese when the games are long gone.

  17. No, not interested.
