Have You Ever Gotten So Depressed DUring your Period?

Question

Have you ever had periods that made you so depressed that you wanted to commit suicide?

I have them so bad. It's the pain I want to end, not myself. How about you?

i get really emotional during my period, and defensive. I really can't help it, hormones i swear. if it is this serious though, just go see your doctor they will be able to help you. it isn't your fault so just get it taken care of

My periods are always super bad. First I tried going on birth control. It helps your cramps, mood swings, etc etc. I have to admit suicide was not one of the things on my mind. If the pain is that bad tell your dr and they will give you pain meds to ease the pain. Suicide is definitely not the route to be taking. Pain is easily fixable. Let your dr know and he will give you the right type of medicine. Try asking him about yaz

I have the same exact problem. I went to the doctor after I realized I wasn't depressed since the emotional pain goes away right after my period... so I put two and two together. Turns out I have PMDD. I'm now on birth control and anti-depressants and it's no longer a problem. Good luck and I know how you feel!

I suppose you mean that you are depressed because of the pain. If conventional medicine hasn't helped you (which I doubt it has) consult a homeopathic doctor. It worked for my terrible mood swings during my period, when everything else had failed.

No, I have had some serious cramps, but none that made me want to commit suicide. I usually take cool baths and I try yoga. It relieves the tension and helps me to relax.

Or you could try eating chocolate. That always works.

If it still is bad, you should think about seeing a doctor. They could probably prescribe something to help relieve the pain.
