Maybe it was the lack of fellow shoppers or the state of the store's displays that made you think the store was in trouble.

Which store one not be surprised to see shut its doors for good?

Radio Shack... K-Mart... Rite Aide... Ross Stores...

I haven't been shopping ... but one deli I use to frequent for lunch would always be mad crazy.  I'd call my order in to save  time.  I went Monday and there was only 5 tables with people, and 1 person in line.  It was weird.  

I'd say Radio Shack of the stores listed.

After christmas,you don't see too many shoppers.I have been getting coupons from stores though but I am trying so hard not to spend and stay within my budget.

Yeah!  It's spooky.  I realized we wuz up s**+tz creek when I went to our local Luxury mall two weeks before Xmas and it was totally empty.  This in an area bereft of financial troubles.  It took so long for us to climb out of the black hole back in the early ninties...  

It's clear looking at the empty stores...no business can sustain weeks on end with no revenue to pay the rent.  

As Bette Davis once said..."Hold on fellas, it's going to be a bumpy ride."
