Is it time to get a new one or is it repairable. Could the speakers be on another fuse

  1. Check your antenna connection.  If there's no sound at all, it could be a fuse.

  2. I have a 1999 Ranger that did the same thing.  The display came on and even changed channels but no sound came out, turned out the amplifier in the head unit went out and I had to replace it with an aftermarket unit.  That is pretty easy though since they sell the dash trim kits and the wiring harnesses.  You can do the entire job your self for around $130 radio and parts if you pick up a JVC from walmarts or similar.  Auto zone or Orielly's typically have the harness adapters and trim kits.  You can check the fuse first but I doubt that is the problem, and it would be unlikely but not impossible that all four speakers are burned up.
