Was told that I need a converter to connect to the factory Bose system to convert the signal to low frequency. About to purchase one of two items and was wondering which item would work best for what I need. item 1-STINGER SALOC HIGH TO LOW LEVEL OUTPUT CONVERTER, item 2-Scosche SLC4 Four-channel line output converter. This MTX amp I have is in the competition class and the bass speakers are Rockford P1s. need to make sure the converter will not send and high frequency signals to the amp and speakers, thanks

  1. Actually if your amp has a built in lowpass filter and can accept high level signals you don't have to buy any of those converters.  What the converter does is to reduce the high level signal going to the factory speakers to lower signal that the amp requires.  Most amps on the market adress this issue by having the converter built right into the amp.  As a bonus your amp probably has a low pass filter built into it already, this stops high frequencies from going to your sub.
