Have a 4000 mono block class d Performance Teknique amp....it says it will work at 1 ohm....but it turns ?

Question

when i try to run it at 1 ohm it truns off ( protection mode).... but the box and there web site says it will run at 1 ohm (1700rms)... could it be because im use'n 4 gage power wire because the site says use 0/1 gage??? what else could be makin this amp go in to protection mode.... so im runnning it at 4 ohm tell i can figure all this out... any help would e great

do you have a cap ond the wire might be the prob. but the amp is not top of the line and not a well known brand so it vary well might be that the amp just wont or cant do it lots of companys do this alot say that the amp puts out more watts or can handel lower ohm loads tha it realy can. its not un comin at all thair is like 10 good companys and all the other companeys over rate stuf.
