Have a 50 hp on a 15 ft boat. Need battery to start motor,lights,fish finder and radio.Dual type or deep type?

Dual. Deep cycle is used for trolling motors, take longer to charge, and don't have as much cranking power.

Cranking for the engine, and deep cycle for all the electronics.

Unless you plan to do a lot of night fishing,drifting or at anchor then all you need is a good quality marine grade battery.You will have a charge coil under the flywheel that should provide you with all the power you need to operate the list of assories you mentioned.The size of boat you have will be weight concerned and added batteries can and will cause you concern.

  Only if you decide to install a trolling motor will you need to add an extra battery.

deep cycle  marine grade  battery  should do it, Holds  charge longer than standard car battery.

if you only run the lights radio fish finder ect. while the motor is running, then all you need is a standard car battery. because the motor will run the other electrics while its running. But if you want to run stuff when the motor is off for long periods of time then a deep cycle would be best. If you have the room, have two banks one of each
