Have a HP C7280 Photosmart

Question

Have a HP C7280 Photosmart all in one for wireless connection with Belkin 54g Router. Finds router and everything works correctly but when the device is active (switched on) it disrupts attempts to access the internet. I have to turn off the 7280 and re-power the router to get access to the Internet but it then disrupts access when switched on. Cannot get a response from HP as yet and have had to connect via USB as a work round which defeats the purpose of its purchase! The device is some 12 feet across the room. I have re-installed it too many times to have to do it again. Is this a channel or signal strength or settings problem?
