Have a Linksys router, 2 laptops in house using it to connect to internet, no pblm. Decided to change to ?

secure encryption. Now only one laptop will connect. No settings changed on laptop settings. Encryption changed thru internet on desktop. Both laptops are Gateways, different models. One that connects is using Vista. One that doesn't is XP. When checked ipconfig, no IP addresses are shown, just 0's. Why would the one not connect? What to do?

By activating the secure network features, you will need an SSID and a WEP key or you won't connect.

Disable the secure connection because this is the only way you will connect than one computer. This is done only on unsecured network.
