Have a canon mp210 installed

Question

Have a canon mp210 installed on a p4 running on xp. Also have an i550. Both printers have been working ok but mp210 now gives a message when printing that it is offline. Printer scans to pc as normal and test pages can be printed from computer as normal.I have switched the printer off, rebooted pc and checked the Device Manager, which states printer and usb hubs are working normally. I haven't tried reinstalling yet - but do you have any suggestions, please?John
