The Visa Section is open Monday - Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding Embassy Holidays.

All applicants must present a passport valid for at least six months after the intended date of travel, a completed application form, a photograph (50mm x 50mm) and pay the $100.00 processing fee. This fee is not refundable, even if the visa application is refused.

In addition to the above requirements, applicants should be prepared to clearly demonstrate their economic, family and social ties to their country of residence. All applicants must convince the interviewing officer of their ability to independently travel to the United States for the intended purpose, and their intention to return to their home countries following a temporary visit to the United States. Since each case is unique, each applicant should provide information and documentation which best supports his or her situation.

Approved visas are generally ready the following day, although administrative processing can delay issuance in some cases for a number of months.
