My son is on a lease w/ his bf, I came to stay w/ them due to illness, I am disabled. They asked me to move I so I did. I've only been here a couple of months, the past couple of weeks the boys have a finicial downfall which has caused awful fighting. I've been staying in my room for the past few days cause the bf can be violent. My son was at work I had a friend come visit & the bf became aggresive my friend left. I locked my bedroom door. 10 min.'s later he came in an attacked me. The police did nothing except make him leave for 24hrs. Is there any way my son can get out of the lease agreement w/o it causing him leagal/financial problems? Plz help !!!

  1. Florida is the WORSE place you to break a lease.  The state is extremely y and the landlord does not need mitigate his/her damages by re-renting.  He can just sue for the entire lease amount.

    Get a very good lawyer.

  2. No the lease is a legal contract.  It is not the landlords problem that the tenants are not getting along.
