you can plug it as a temporary fix until you can get a new tire to replace it ,It's not recommended to leave it on for a long period of time repairing a motorcycle tire should always be considered as a temporary fix, you've only got 2 tires so it's best to always have good tires on your bike without plugs or patches in them

Rare, but I gotta go with Mags on this one.  You can plug it as long as its not in the sidewall, but I would not continue to ride on a plugged tire.  A blowout when riding a m/c is much different than a blowout driving a car.

Go get the new tire.

You only plug a motorcycle tire as a temoporary fix to get you someplace where you can buy a new tire. Not recommended for extended use.

You can just plug it. *note* all plugs are considered to be a temporary fix. You can have it patched from the inside also, but is still considered a temporary fix. A plug will probably hold just fine for years but is not recommended by the manufacturer of any tire.

Any TUBELESS tire can be plugged. A tire that has a tube has to be broken down and a patch made to the tube. I would suggest patching the tire and installing a NEW tube if the tire is in good condition and has a couple thousand miles left. If it is really worn I suggest buying a new one. I personally will not ride a plugged tire on a bike and would only use a "patched" tube if I couldn't get a new one where I was stopped.

Just like new things. Neither my wife or I will run a plugged tire on the front (steering) wheels of a car or truck. They claim they are safe but I have seen steel belted tires cut a plug to ribbons!

On a motorcycle, you can plug it as a temporary fix, but keep it at low speeds and ride to a place to get it replaced asap. It is unsafe to ride it with a plugged tire, they sometimes blow out explosively at speed.

You can only plug a tire if the puncture is in the tread. Any puncture of the side wall is unrepairable.

I have run plugs on car tires in the past but No way would I feel safe riding a street bike on a plugged tire, that little strip of rubber is all that is between You and a very hard abrasive surface.

Have it repaired with a plug/patch.

If you run tubes, put a new tube in. Tube patches don't always hold.

I have plugged a motorcycle tire before BUT.........

Think about what will happen if the plug does not hold.  Do you want to take that risk further than your trip home?  An inside plug is the best, but still only a temporary fix.  If you really want to save the tire that bad, put a tube in it, and go back to normal when you change the tire.

I've put thousands of miles on a plugged rear tire.  The hole has to be in the tread and you have to use special plug that is pulled from the inside and incorporates a tire patch.
