Have a renault clio p reg does it have power steering

Question

borrowing the mum in laws car for a few months its a p reg 1995 /96 not sure.model 1.9 diesel but the steering is heavy an a dont know if its meant to have power steering aint got time to take it to a garage to find out an a dont know what to look 4r

pop the bonnet & if you see a bottle/ sump type object witha stearing wheel on it then it should have power stearing if this is no existant then no

look under the bonnet and look around there should be a power steering reservoir they are usually round and near the back

It should have. Maybe it is low on fluid. Look under the bonnet, it will be clearly marked as power steering reservoir.

Most at that age won't.

When you open the bonnet, at the back on the passenger side you'll see the coolant expansion tank - like a clear barrel shaped thing with a black filler cap.

On a Clio with power steering, there'll be a little reservoir with a black plastic lid between that & the battery.
