Question:

Have a sore tooth, braces

Like a month ago I got my braces tightened with a really thick gage, they hurt like h**l but after a few days it felt fine again. I made the mistake of thinking everything was normal and bit into a piece of food and pulled with my front teeth, at the time it was just a minor pain and I thought nothing about it, so I stopped and just tore the food with my hand as usual.

Every since then though, my one front tooth has been tender, not real pain but very minor. I told my othro about it when I went back this week for my routine, she didn't think too much about it and just told me I need to be more careful. But this minor pain doesn't seem to go away, is this normal? It's been about 1 month since this happened and it's still tender, my other teeth feel fine. It doesn't look unhealthy or bleed or anything, just hurts. It doesn't even hurt a lot but just very minor, enough to just be an annoyance.

Any suggestions? How long should it take for whatever happened to heal?

  1. thats happened to me with a sandwitch, if your ortho says its fine, don't worry, but take an advil, or any other pain killer to ease the pain. :)

  2. Since my uncle is a dentist, i recommend going to a dentist.

  3. try some baby tooth origel.

And if you can't sleep with the pain, shop a piece of crust-less bread between your tooth and your lip.
