I don't have a whole lot of knowledge on the cash value part, but I will say that I have purchased used stamps like this for my own collection and they're not very expensive--maybe $5 for 100 stamps or so.  On the other hand, if you had any that were in mint condition (including the gum on the back), that would be a different story as far as what they were worth.

Check your Yellow Pages under stamps/collectibles to see if there is a stamp dealer in your area.  The one that is in my area also deals with coin collecting, so you might try looking under that.  They would be able to give you a definite answer on what the cash value is of your collection.
