Have a tanning question?

I work at a tanning salon and I have a client who had a spot scare..

She stopped tanning for a while, but started coming back. I wanted to know if anyone knows where I could find a rag or cloth that blocks UV rays that she can lay on her face? Does anyone know where I could get one?

I have tried sally's beauty supply and they do not have it

  1. maybe you could tell your boss what you need for the customer .

she will understand . If she don't maybe you can use bed sheets .

  2. Gosh I think you better not tan her at all, she is obviously at risk with a scare like that.  Advise her not treatment without her doctor's assurance, and honestly I don't think he will encourage it.  xx

  3. I am basically quoting a TV ad here but here it goes

The UV rays at tanning booths can be up to 10 times stronger then the sun and can cause cancer so get a life or lose it

  4. Oooooo, this is a tough one.

It is very hard to find something to block 100% of uv rays. I know there are high SPF balms avaliable for covering sensitive areas such as moles and tattoos.

Honestly, any client who has had a spot scare should be discouraged from tanning, period. Just because the risk of overexposure and having additional scares are high, and I'm sure you want what is best for you clients as I do with mine.
