Have a tiny bump on uvula, where can I see a doc w/o insurance?

It's been there for over 6 weeks and it feels like a hair in my throat. I also have a red throat...but not really painful, just scratchy. I have minor postnasal drip as well. I feel like I should get this checked out, but I have no insurance. Can a dentist help me? Or should I just call up an ENT specialist and pay out of pocket?

  1. Call your local health dept and ask what doctors in the area are treating patients without insurance/low income. I have done this before when I was in between jobs and only paid $20 for a visit.

  2. Try googling tonsil stones and see if that fits your symptoms until you can see a doc.
