I believe one of the bones of contention for the truthers is that a Boeing 757 could not crash into the Pentagon and disintegrate. However, in 1996 a ValuJet DC-9 barrelled headfirst into WATER, yes WATER, and they could barely find a piece bigger than a few feet long. Now I remember the pain of belly flops as a kid as much as the next guy, but I gotta believe water is a lot more flexible than ground, concrete and steel, and it was still enough to turn an airplane into a bunch of little bits.
