  1. Have you tried "Teflon Tape"? Or perhaps "Denzo"?

  2. are you talking about the threads, or is your gas line underground then you need to buy the plastic coated pipe and wrap it in 10 mil tape

  3. im guessing u need the poly pipe that raps the pipes.

go to walmart or lowes,  they sell it in 1/2  3/4 or  1in dia

cost around $2 a  stick ....   its self sticks.

can be used on  a/c  copper pipes

  4. Don't know why they would want them wrapped unless

    1. They are in a corrosive location

    2. They are running through a cold area like outside in winter which could condense moisture in low spots inside the gas pipe.

In any event... Inspectors are a strange lot.

Some stick to the letter and this is good for everyone usually. It could be a moisture barrier or an insulating value or both he is looking for..

best bet..... humbly ask his advice as to what best would suit your needs.
