So we all know about whaling and the thousands of people against it, but have protests in the past even changed anything? Any laws, etc? Perhaps change in laws of Japanese waters?

Thanks... :)

  1. i dont think so

but i hope it does some day

  2. Who knows? However, many other species truly need our assistance. How many of you know that the vaquita is now the rarest and most critically endangered cetacean on Earth? Are Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd doing anything for the vaquita? Do you even know what a vaquita looks like?

Rather than protesting to the wrong people over an issue that will get no-where, we should be protesting to save animals such as the vaquita and the northern hairy-nosed wombat (which is in Australia itself, yet I doubt many Australians are aware that such a creature even exists).

  3. They drive up the price of whale meat and promote whaling.

  4. the whaling industry has been reduced more by economy than by laws. Once it became cheaper to used oil in lamps along with many other products whaling began its decline. The bigger issue in regards to japan is killing dolphins for food.

  5. no ,no one wants to step on any toes
