  1. look here:

  2. I would decorate in the colors of red and deep turquoise blue that bluish/green, and do it in clusters of balloons and streamers and add some yellow in too.

You can also go to any party store for some plates, napkins, and the paper centerpiece, etc.

I know you don't want to do games, but for this age, structure is better, you may want to have things they can play without having a winner.  I wouldn't do anything with a winner, just things they can play with and run around and do.  Otherwise they will get into everything running around and occupying themselves.

For food, I wouldn't go with the sea theme, chances are, the kids won't eat it, I would go with the things that you know your daughter eats.  Chances are, her friends eat the same thing.  You can do goldfish crackers.

I would do like chicken fingers or pizza bagel bits, franks in blankets, things like that, you could do peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cut them out with cookie cutters into shapes of sea creatures or stars, etc.  I wouldn't serve them fish sticks or things like that, they probably won't eat it.

You can also do jello fish bowls.  Make blue jello in clear plastic cups, when it's setting up, but NOT set, just enough that you can put something in there, put one or two jelly fish in each one, they will suspend in the bowls, and NOT go to the bottom, so it looks like they're floating around the jello like fish in fish bowls.  Don't worry about the top where you had to put your finger in, it will close up as the jello finishes setting up!  You can even top it with whipped cream when you serve them.  Kids LOVE this because they can't believe how the fish is suspended in the middle of the jello.  It's a good snack for the kids and they love it and it follows your under the sea theme!

For party favors, you can do bubbles, little bags of jelly fish, crackers/chips, little bracelets and necklaces,  etc.  Go to the dollar store, you can find tons of things for children this age, things they will LOVE! You can even get them sidewalk chalk, crayons, coloring books, there's so much that they love that would make them happy that doesn't cost much!   You can get them everything at the dollar store and it won't cost you much at all.

I hope some of these ideas help and that your daughter has a great party and a very Happy Birthday!

  3. If you go to toysrus

they have the full package of party themes

  4. POOL PARTY!!!! With little mermaid toys for a contest! Try some flower necklaces and little shells everywhere. Shaws makes awesome cakes. I think they had a little mermaid one so i'd try there. If not try dairy queen. For food Make basic stuff and give the "Sea Names" Like call a french fry something like..i dunno, a fish finger?..sorry. Well you could serve fish sticks or have food shaped into sea animals!

  5. give each kid a goldfish as a party favor. if you have a big budget, have each fish in its own plastic bowl and use them as centerpieces and party decorations. fill bowls with goldfish crackers. have a treasure hunt in a sandbox and hide mini characters from the movie and/or ocean-related animals. let them dance to the music from the movie. buy or make a pinata shaped like an octopus. let the kids wear crowns. I hate to say it, but candy at any age is a big hit and instead of a cake, we are big fans of cupcakes. half chocolate, half vanilla. check out family fun magazine for good cupcake decorating ideas. happy birthday!

  6. i like party's =)

  7. I always buy my party favors online, from ustoy.

It does look like their luau party pack is on backorder though:

  8. you should hire a couple of teenagers to do hair and nails for the little girls, they love it and they're cheap!

  9. awww awesome! congrats on ur daughters 2nd birthday.

her are some cakes that i found

I hope some of those give you an idea.

And also, is the birthday going to be in the summer or when its hot out? cause if so, you could have like a little kiddy pool party. and i have seen arieal sprinklers somewhere i think..

Decorations you could do something like, the tables can have tablecloths on them and over top you could have a net like thing, draped over the table.

The center pieces of the tables could have something to do with all of the princeses, on each table

i would make fish sticks. Little kids love those!

maybe some blue jello and put little gummy fish inside of it, so it looks like they are swimming in water.

oh and for the punch i think it would be REALLY cute if you could possably find a (new) bucket, like what you take to the beach, and make sure you clean it well, and put the punch in there.

and you could also make little hand made ariel chocolate suckers as shown below

    http://www.sweetricks.com/ImagesLol/Them...

Just be creative, it doesnt take that much to make a babies day she will love it if there is alot of balloons as well.

I hope i could help. And i hope you the best for planning. Congrats again.

  10. Decorate : Buy one of those part-decorator packs, they're available everywhere and since the theme is Little Mermaid it's bound to be everywhere. Anyways try adding a little something by gluing blue confetti to the down part of the table's cover.

    Here is a theme packs : http://www.birthdayinabox.com/party-them...

As of cake here is a link to some Little Mermaid Cakes:

Favors : bubble blower, some plastic fish toys, and a little coloring book (under-the-sea themed)

    Decorations

For Little Mermaid party decorations, use such colors as purple, turquoise, silver, pink and shades of blue. Use as many balloons and streamers in those colors as you can. Play Little Mermaid theme music in the background.

Download and print images of Little Mermaid characters (e.g., Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder, King Triton, Prince Eric, Ursula, etc.). Enlarge and laminate the images, and put them on the fence. Attach some cutout fish shapes and streamers.

Enlist the birthday child to draw various sea animals on the driveway all the way leading to the front door. Put up a large banner that says "Welcome to (your child's name) Ariel Birthday Party!"

Set a blown up palm tree in the yard, and hang plastic fish on strings from tree branches. Drape a fish net over the backyard fence. Then attach plastic and paper fish. Rent bubble machine, and place it in the yard to create "sea bubbles."

Cover the lights in the room with blue cellophane paper, which will give the party "under the ocean" feeling. Spread out stuffed sea animals around the room. Have Mylar fish and dolphin balloons free-floating in the area, and have lots of blue latex balloons on the floor to create "ocean atmosphere."

Drape streamers from the ceiling in blue, light blue and teal colors, and throw in green streamers for seaweed. Attach some construction paper fish cutouts to several streamers to look like they are swimming. After the streamers are draped, turn on the ceiling fan on Low to simulate the "waves" in the ocean! The streamers should dangle low enough so people could feel like they are walking through the water.

Set up a treasure chest in your Ariel birthday party area. If you don't have anything resembling a treasure chest, here's how to make one...Paint the wooden box inside and out with gold acrylic paint. Let it dry. Cover the top with a thin layer of crafts glue. Then place beads, shells, and other decorations on top of the glue. Sprinkle the rest with gold glitter.

Cut two pieces of gold braid trim to go around the box lid and bottom. Glue them in place. Add decorative lines on box sides with glitter paint pens. Let the glue and paint dry. Fill the box with jewels to look like valuable treasure.

Hang Little Mermaid posters on the walls. Hand-draw sea animals to fill the wall space, or purchase a sea life mural (available from a party store).

Cover your Ariel birthday party table with a theme cloth. Cut out images of Ariel, laminate them, and put them for placemats. For a centerpiece, place a large glass fish bowl with a couple of goldfish swimming around. Tie helium balloons to the backs of the chairs. Hang a personalized "Happy Birthday" banner nearby.

    Guest Arrival and Introductory Activities

*Crown Crafting: Before Ariel birthday party, cut out 5-inch-high crowns out of poster board.

As an icebreaker activity, invite the kids to decorate their crowns using glitter, confetti, stickers, water-based markers or crayons and glue sticks. Size each crown by wrapping it around the child's head and stapling the ends together.

*Coloring Books: Invite your party guests to color the pages of activity books while waiting for others to arrive.

*Treasure Chest Craft: This activity you can perform before the party or at the beginning of the party to pique your young guests' curiosity.

To make the treasure chest, cover the inside and outside of small Styrofoam cooler with aluminum foil. Glue two strips of black construction paper vertically on the side of the treasure chest, to simulate straps.

Fill the chest with a mixture of uncooked pasta, cooked spinach linguine "seaweed", costume jewelry, plastic ocean creatures, chocolate coins, etc.

    Favors

For Little Mermaid party favors, hand out such items as heart-shaped buckets, sea shells, lip gloss, plush fish, mini photo frames, faux-pearl necklaces, Little Mermaid sticker sheets, blowouts, glitter bracelets and gem rings. Or buy each kid a goldfish or minnows and if u dont wanna spend money then go to a local park or creek and try to catch some minnows lol
