In 2003, Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer, pled guilty to the murders of 48 women in Kent County, but he claimed to have killed 71 total. As of 2008, is there an update on the case? Have any additional murders been proven above the 48 he admitted to? Are other counties in Washington or is Oregon going to prosecute or seek the death penalty since he left remains of victims there and he only got life in prison by confessing to the 48? Also, there were at least 4 women that he confessed to killing whose remains were unidentified. Does anyone know if they have been identified yet? Is there some type of memorial for the victims?

  1. Shawn, I am not sure but there was something on American Justice about it recently...I think just a recap of the crime.  You might look for Court TV, or is it TruTV now...they used to have a section on past serial killers.
