Question:

Have any advice on teaching my daughter on how to ride a bicycle?

I'm an adult that hasn't ridden a bike in quite some time , but my twelve-year-old daughter wants to learn. We never bothered teaching her when she was younger since the streets were we used to live was a high traffic area and just to dangerous. Now we live in a safer place, but the problem is she's embarrassed and doesn't want to be seen having a hard time trying to ride (she really doesn't want to be seen with her mother trying to teach her either). Any advice?

  1. well i suggest she goes somewhere were n ot a lot of people go by, maybe your backyard and just try to go. you could hold her and help her balance, scrapes and bruises are guaranteed

  2. Well she's way too old for training wheels so just take her to a church or school parking lot in the earlly evening and let her go at it. She will pick it up in no time.

Make sure she has a proper fitting helmet.

  3. Have her friend teach her or her Dad.

  4. You should try to teach her some place were people don't really pass by alot, such as a parking lot. And teach her in the evening so there is a large guarantee that there will be no one there.
