Was this an email saying you were to receive a large bequest from a will and you just needed to send a &quot;nominal fee&quot; or provide some personal info to collect? Then yes he is a fraud and such emails are common.

this is the oldest scam in the universe... delete the email and move on; otherwise he will gain access to your checking account and quickly remove your money.
