Have any of you been to see trooping the colour?

Its a brilliant waste of taxpayers money. Soldiers dress up in fancy clothes and march around in circles in honour of the Queens official birthday in June. There is allot of pointless saluting and none of the serious regiments ( Paras, Marines, PWRR) are invited as they are too busy training and don't ride ponies.

  2. I'm not sure that cutting out of HRM's budget the trooping of the colour would necessarily keep me away from the United Kingdom, but yes, I've seen this tourist attraction twice (in 1981 and 1974).

  3. yes but English industry isn't very good

    , every thing you produce is expensive and cant compete against other countries

    how ever i came to England to see the trooping of the colour and you got my hard earned foreign exchange, which you would otherwise be unable to obtain

  4. Please explain the costs,the soldiers wear their uniforms,ride their horses. It's a tourist attraction,this brings money into the country.
