Have any of you ever called your spouse by another name??

I was really focused in on a movie the other night and one of the actors reminded me of an old guy-friend. I was reminiscing about him in my mind and went to ask my 'better-half' what he wanted to drink and called him this guys name. Luckily he listened and understood, but has it ever happened to you and what was the outcome???

and well  i accidentally called him allen and made up a quick excuse since we were in the park right after i said allen i pointed to a stranger far away and was like is that him? i know that was horrible but yeah

and he dumped me yesterday soooooooo yea

He called me his ex-girlfriend's name but he was REALLY pissed at the time which made me laugh.  Apparently that's the name that conjures up anger.

My ex & my husband have the same first name so if I ever did it nobody would know LOL!

No, it has never happened with me. But then again, I really do not

watch that many movies.  You really can get into some of them,

and either laugh, cry or say what a lousy ending.

I would think if it did happen with me, he would understand.

I did but it was right in the beggining of the relationship.  My husband's name is Marcos and my kinda sorta never official ex was named Carlos (ok,  yeah, I like spanish guys) I called him Carlos once or twice at first!  :(  He didn't like that at all especially since he hated Carlos lol. woops!

For the first 6 month of my current marriage - I called my wife by my wife's name.

Sometimes i forget weather im sleeping with my wife or my mistress.  I tend to just call her babe to make sure there is no mistaken name being said.

I'VE CALLED MY HUBBY BY MY EX HUSBANDS NAME HE JUST LOOKED AT ME I TOLD HIM I WAS SORRY.... :)

Yes, my first husband I called "Bob" once. That is not his name. I was in training for my new job and Bob was driving me crazy. No I mean literally crazy, I won't to beat the c**p out of him.

Now for my second husband, the first few years that we were together I accidentally called him by my first husband's name 2xs. He was not offended he just said "Honey my name is ....." and he laughed it off.

When we were first together I did a few times.  Usually when I was frustrated becuz I didnt think he was listening to me (once in the grocery store)  He turned around and asked ...What?? I said "nuttin' did you want.......??"  He either didnt hear me or played it off!  What a great guy!!  

And BTW he has NEVER called me by his ex-wifes name!

Yes a Freudiann slip and itwasn't as amiable she did not like being referred to as my ex's name and was not as forgiving been in the dog house and had to make allot of gifts and apologiess with gifts of jewelry

and flowers to make her feel I had not just ripped out her heart she was

mean mad and I never forgot the instance but my subconsciouss is

so stupid I talk in my sleep and have vocalized the same name

from our living room couch within hearing distance and got booted

from a deep sleep.ouch. cheers its worse if you do this in flagranty
