  1. There is no BIG difference skating on artificial ice. Its just a little more bumpier, but other than that its pretty much the same.

Just to let you know, the knick up your skates really bad. So don't get your skates sharpened right before you skate on artificial ice.

  2. the first think in my mind is wow that would awesomely small unless your garage is can hold 10 cars. of by the way i think that it is dangerous to skate in garage because there is tools hanging on the wall. you don't want to ram the wall and the tools fell on your head don't you.

  3. i have totally done that and it is totally hard to do.  It even hurts way more to fall.

  4. Hi. By "artificial ice" I take it you mean a plastic surrogate ice, perhaps a product like Glice. It feels the same as far as gliding over it is concerned, and is frequently used in ice shows on ramps down onto the normal surface, as well as in limited spaces which would be difficult for the maintenance of real/natural ice, such as on cruise ships which feature an ice skating performance. Just don't fall on it, as it is a lot less forgiving than the slippery surface of natural ice. If you MUST fall--and it is hard to avoid--wear sufficient clothing and protective equipment which might alleviate any friction burn or impact which might result from a loss of balance... not bad advice even on natural ice, especially for learners

    Happy skating!

  5. i have. since you really don't touch it it feels the same to skate on. and the texture [as in bumps or grains] isn't at all different from real ice. its just a lot harder to crack.

  6. it doesn't really feel much different.
