I am considering going into Credit Counseling, but don't know how it works. Does anyone out there have experience with it? Can you tell me how it works and if you would recommend it?

  1. A credit counselor in credit counseling will discuss your financial situation with you. All consumer credit counselors ask for three basic items for your initial consultation. Firstly, a list of all of your current bills, secondly recent statements from your creditors and lastly check stub or other form of income verification. They help you sort out your financial woes long term and not just to offer you a quick fix to the problem. They will discuss your overall financial picture including where you are now financially and will also analyze how it is you got to this point. And based upon that they would provide you with an affordable debt repayment plan wherein you have to pay one single monthly payment.

  2. If you are being made to go, just go, sit there and play the game.

  3. I would not go to one of those places that charge you. There should be places locally that do not charge. They basically help you sit up a budget, tell you how to manage your money and how to get in touch with your creditors to negotiate lower interest rates and smaller payments. For some people it is a good thing because they help you find ways to cut back and see some of their wasteful spending.

  4. lol well I filed bankruptcy and was required to take credit counseling.  Its basically someone telling you to not write bad checks and not to obtain credit you can't pay back.

  5. CCC is the number one in credit counseling

Christian consumer credit counseling agencies deal mostly with the debt management requirements of Christian clients. They are attractive, useful and short-term solutions to people looking forward to a debt free future. They assist you in consolidating your debt, drawing up a repayment plan, and allowing you to keep tithing. You also get spiritual counseling to help you overcome the debt problems.http://debt-trap.com/category/Christian-...
