If so, are you satisfied with it and did it alleviate all or just most, pain? I have 6 damaged vert, 3 neck and 3 T78and9. I have a bone spur in my neck vert and when it slides into the wrong position, I pay holy heck with awful 3-7 day headaches that are so bad I pray I will just die...

any input is appreciated.

  1. Wife had spinal fusion of C4-6.  First 6 months were great.  Then she slipped and had a minor fall, enough to jerk her neck forward.  Its never been the same since (8 yrs ago).

Many doctors have told us that any sort of fusion ultimately results in pain returning both above and below a fusion.  My recommendationn, talk to at least 3 surgeons.  Find patients that have had the surgery done several years before.

Finally, REHAB, REHAB, REHAB!  This is a radical step for your body.  Know things are going to behave differently afterward.  I am convinced that if my wife had really hit the rehab aspect HARD, she would have had more muscle stability to protect herself from the fall.

    Good luck!
