  1. I actually do not like the idea of raping what is left of our natural resources along with the damage to our ecology that would result. Therefore I will not sign the petition.

Thank you for posting, you must believe in the concept.

  2. Yes, I've heard of it. However is not a fix. Currently oil companies are drilling and pumping from accessible sources in the US. Non-accessible sources, oil shale and other means to produce carbon based fuels will all take so long to develop that we have time to introduce new energy technologies that NOT only reduce our energy dependance but actually decrease global warming and save the environment.

  3. :/

    There are no words...

EDIT: Yeah there is - We as a species really are doomed.

  4. Only delaying  the inevitable -- try not to breath.

  5. How's this for a novel idea?  Let's research and develop our own oil reserves right here in the continental USA and offshore.

We can be totally energy independent from the Middle East and other terrorist nations who are financing their terrorist operations from oil revenues.

All we have to do is to get the liberal Democrats who have been blocking our effort to do so, out of the way.

There is a real movement afoot to do this, thank the Lord.  It's about time.  People are fed up with sacrificing food and vacations just to fill up the gas tank.

Sure, it may take several years to actually bring our resources to production, but it's never too late to start.

Too bad Clinton wasn't  thinking this way back 10 years ago when he blocked efforts to develop our own oil reserves.  We would not be in this fix right now.

P.S.  I drive a 70mpg scooter most of the time now and I pity the poor people paying $100 to gas up.  My van is parked most of the time.

  6. I am a big player on oil trading, from Wallstreet firms like Morgan Stanly or Goldman & Sachs, etc.

I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they were in the range $60--$100 a barrel.  I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only $135 a barrel.  Following are my difficulties. Please advise:

    Difficulty 1)

Congress is now investigating on oil speculation, but if I sell right now, I would  not make a large profit. Unless the price is in the range of $160--$200. My agents  already feel the spin out to the media : “Oil future looks high, expecting in the range of $200” But it seems not working price up as fast as I expected

    Difficulty 2)

Saudi Arabia has raised production. China has raised its domestic gas price by 17% to curb the demand. But those measures would drive the price down. How do I counter them ?

    Difficulty 3)

How do I play scapegoating game well ? How do I  make a handsome profit while without being responsible for the oil price hike ?  Recent Israel Iran-Attack drill would disrupt oil supply region. But Israel is US ally. And media and think tanks would not permit it.

    Difficulty 4)

How about playing the US old scapegoat China ? The recent feeler that “ China is the second largest oil consumer “ seems spinning well. Nobody questions that China is actually importing less oil than Japan, and much less do they  know what is net import on oil.

What do you say?  Please advise.

  7. Yeah--its a scam set up by the oil companies to try to create support for the government to reward them for ripping us off by handing them gigabucks in oil drilling rights in the Gulf of Mexico. There's a lot of paid posters here and on other sites trying to con people into signing their "petition."  Are you one of them?

  8. What's there to add ? Wake up ladies and gentlement, the oil industry has existed for quite a long time, and it is the most efficient and versatile energy source we have.

Why is it so hard for people to see that the Government has been making a grab at every main industry under the democratic party and thier socialists beliefs ?

Sound like a conspiracy theory ? then why are companies that are selling legal products under seige by the Government ? isn't it enough that they regulate the air and water pollution standards ? Isn't it enough they get their share of taxes ? Yet the government has been putting their thumbs into many company pies. Like the tobacco companies, oil companies, blocking exploration, preventing us from drilling our own oil, stopping us from building our own refineries even. We never use to import refined gas, now we import about 13%.

When is this BS going to stop ? The free market in America depends on supply and demand. So if you have a farm in your back yard, you know where your next meal is coming from. If you rely on someone else to provide your food, then you have to pay what they are charging. its simple as that.

You take all the "alternative" energy sources and they collectively barely make a dent in our oil use. That's the cold hard facts, so why is democrat leadership standing in the way ? why did Bill Clinton s***w America by vetoing our efforts to be more energy independent ? Why are these slacker politicians so detacted that they are basically giving America the middle finger regarding our energy policy and the Americans are just sitting on their butts and taking it ?

You Bush haters need to come down off your high horse and at least side with the man on this issue. Congress has America in a strangle hold regarding our oil sources, most of them not fit to represent anyone, yet nothing is done for THE PEOPLE.

  9. I have heard of this.

The reserves that were to have sustained the USA after foreign oil became unavailable as it surely will  are now to be used up while foreign oil is still flowing.
