I had a friend of mine, trying to talk me out of voting for Obama.She said the guy that Obama picked for vice president,was a republican.I have checked the internet and the news, and can't find anything about it.

The man has been in public service for all his careerm and he had to morgage his house to send his son to college. That mite tell you a little bit about how he will not be bullied by big bisunes.

Your friend is wrong. Biden has always been a Democrat. He was one of the youngest congressmen when he started 30 years ago.

Look Joe Biden has been the Senator from Deleware for over 30 years and he is a Democrat.  He is currently chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.  So whatever plans were made two years ago, it makes very good sense for Obama to choose the best person with the most experience far more than McCain.  And he is very tough and direct and pretty bright as well.  He is no yes man so unlike Ms Palin he will be a partner with Obama and able to give real advice and handle real situations that occur.  At the same time he is not as nasty as McCain and just as effective.  He also served on the Judicial Committee.  He was behind the law passed sometime back that prohibited violence against women.  Good solid person.  One poltical commentator said if one has to debate Biden on foreign policy  maybe one is lucky not to be chosen VP.  If you want to check him out yourself go to

Biden is from Delaware, and lived for a few weeks in Pennsylvania, but almost always lived in Delaware.

Obama needs Pennsylvania votes, so he picked Biden for that reason only.

He's not a Republican, but voted with Republicans, and agreed with Republicans for almost everything, until picked by Obama.
