Have any of you noticed Billiard lingo being used in the Olympics and other major sports?

I have been avidly watching the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

In the Synchronized Diving competition (earlier this evening), I heard a commentator use the expression: "The Chinese will *run the table* in this event". In Men's Gymnastics (just moments ago) the commentator used the expression: "he had a good routine but a slight *miscue* on the dismount". In NBA Basketball, I've heard the announcer say: "3-ball --corner pocket!"

Have any of you pool players picked up on the Pool lingo used in other sporting events?

  1. Hey pool pro and Suns fan!Yes whenever Raja Bell and Steve Nash or LB makes a 3 point shot, Tom Leander always yells 3 ball corner pocket! I'm not a pool player but I hear what you're saying. I have only seen highlights of the olympics so I haven't really heard any references to pool like what you're talking about. If they did, I may not catch it like you do cause I'm not a pool player. I'm a Suns fan! I think it's cool that you are a pool pro and a Suns fan too.

    GO SUNS!
