Have any of you seen Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire?

Once on the island of Maui when I was riding with a group of people down the long windy road along steep cliffs, I (and everyone else there) saw a woman in a long blue caftan and long white hair who gave us a sharp look.   A few minutes later after a few more turns along the cliff, we saw her again, or her identical twin, standing on the ledge on the ocean side of the road.

Once we took a class trip there and like on all trips we took pictures. In one of our photos we say a tall woman figure that was in the pic with a flowing white dress and wild looking long hair, it didn't appear in all our pics,but just one. None of us had any idea why it appeared there and our teacher couldn't explain this to us.
