Have any of you teenagers been asked to attend a high-school/ college party by random people at the mall?

I have been approached several times without my parents around to attend a "party" where i can socialize with people my age. They ask for your number and name and I have never given them out because I don't think these parties are legit especially since middle-aged folks are inviting me to them. I've seen the same lady with her kid and she has already asked me 4 times in 2 different locations. It's pretty suspicious, if you ask me.

This sounds like it is either a really weird invitation to a church social, or something a lot worse.  All you need to know to attend a party is where and when--she shouldn't need your phone number to give you an invite.  Stay on guard here--keep your number to yourself.

It's a good thing you didn't give them out. I don't think 50 year olds are going to be inviting people to college parties. They are probably in some kinda of organization or worse.
