Do your cats/dogs ever growl or hiss at unexplained places. One example I have is one of my friend's cat always sits at the bottom of the stairs every night at about 7 PM

  1. Sure it could be seeing something! Or it could be a coincidence. But I have known many animals to "see" things we cannot. Maybe do some investigating! Good luck, and have fun!!

  2. Animals, dogs, cats, and even birds, can act strange at times, but its not always paranormal..they do sense alot around them...but then if something paranormal is happening in your home, they will be the first to pick it up..I had a strange night last week, when one thing after another was happening, my bird who sleeps inside at night, got so spooked, and jumped off his perch and was running around in circles, he was freaked out by something... Other times when i have felt something in my home, ill bring in the cat, and watch her reactions..its quite impressive..There was one night, i felt something in my home, a certain type of energy..My cat came in, and she just stood there, hissing at the air, everytime i went near her, she hissed more, not at me, but she just got so freaked out, she wouldnt let me near her..and she just stared, her hair was standing up, and just hissing, i thought she was going to have a heart attack..I know my cat pretty well, ive had her for 21 years now, and i know when she has picked up on something..and then there are just times when she acts a little silly, but nothing paranormal...Though the bird doing what he was doing last week, was a strange thing..like i said one thing after another was happening..I had a dream about ghosts, then i woke up, and heard my name being called right next to me..I felt something around in my home that night, the clock had stopped, and i only put in new batteries a couple of weeks before, my phone started beeping and wouldnt stop, so i had to unplug it, and my bird running around freaking..apart from that it was a quite night..lol...and no the bird wasnt freaking over the phone beeping...the phone started beeping after the bird freaked out..and he is so trained, nothing fusses him, not even the cat, they all get along...

  3. hm cats and dogs can see spirits so i wouldn't doubt it.

  4. I lived in a home that was very haunted. Our dog would not go into one bedroom ever, he would sit staring at the door with his ridge well raised. He would give a muffled bark then tuck his head under his tail.

One time I put beef jerky in that room just to lure him in. He ran in jumped on the bed and immediately released both bladder and bowels, he jumped right out of the room and from that day on I could not get him down the hall.

This is the one room that always stayed 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house, and had a musty heavy odor even with air fresheners and replacing the carpet.

  5. My dog always does stuff like that. He keeps his eye on something as if it were moving across the ceiling and it freaks me out. Once he growled and jumped on my bed as if he were trying to protect me from something.

  6. I lived in a house years ago that I am convinced was haunted.  We had a few cats and they had the run of the house.  but there was one bedroom they never went into.  they had to pass the door to this bedroom to get to our room in the back and they slept in our room.  they would look cautiously in that doorway and then run like mad past the door.  all the cats were very frightened of that room.

and that room always had a chill.

  7. I almost always sit on my couch every night at 7pm.  I didn't realize this made me paranormal.

  8. Cats & dogs have spiritual senses far beyond an adveradge human.

The adveradge cat & dog can sense spirits (living or dead) but cats however are more superior.

the adveradge cat's spiritual pressure (means of spiritual power in measurement) is nearly twice as strong than that of an adveradge human.

Cats can see ghosts & spirit orbs, some dogs may have the same ability but it isn't as strong as the cats'.

Cats & dogs are very sensitive about this stuff. Sometimes spiritual activities don't stay in the same place and would come back at roughly the same time. but your friend's cat may also be guarding the upstairs, I'd have to see for myself to be sure.

  9. Strange isn't it, all the people that believe in the paranormal also have pets that believe too.

I'm pleased to say that I have sensible pets who never imagine that they can sense ghosts. Sure sometimes my dog barks at something I can't see but seeing as she has  better hearing and smelling abilities than I do that it is hardy surprising that she can tell that a strange cat that I haven't noticed is in our yard.

  10. yeah, it's definitely possible, cause as the first guy said, their eyesight is different than ours, they can see spirits. When I first began to open, spiritually, our dog slept in her bed and even sometimes in our closet. But since I began to open and the spirit activity in our house has increased, she refuses to sleep in the bedroom closet and every single night sleeps at the side of our bed, on my side.

  11. Yes...one time that I can remember now is the dog I had then jumping back and growling ..when there was nothing around. We both ran out of the apt...and moved.ALWAYS pay attention to how your animals act! They're better at it than "investigators". I don't know why Ghost Hunters and psychics don't carry them along with them on cases.

Edit...I deeply regret not paying more attention to my dogs' actions and reactions. I do realize that not everything they see is a ghost etc....but it only takes one!!

  12. My answer is no.Just because we don't understand our pets. That's no reason to go paranormal.Get to know your pet.Try to listen and observe it.You'll see a natural explanation to all their behaviors. For instance unexplained hissing. You have no idea what that cat might be hearing or smelling. It's more likely a mouse in the wall. Then a unseen ghost in a corner.

  13. Animals have a 6Th sense.   When my house was inhabited by a spirit my cat would stare as if watching the spirit.   It was also hiss & sometimes jump up in the air about 3 feet.  Dogs will bark when something is near.

  14. Cats are creatures of habit.   See how a cat reacts if you bolt up the cat flap it has been using for a couple of years or move their food bowls into a new spot.  Cats hate change.

My dog used to growl at the black night, then after about a month I discovered that the bush babies around my house likes to tease her.  Especially if the curtains are still open, but the windows are closed.

Humans tend to antromorphosise animals, and wanting them to be sensitive to the paranormal fall into that category.

  15. I moved into an old house, right after it was refurbished, and even I felt like there was something odd about the house.

At times I could hear heavy breathing, like Darth Vader type breathing.

The house had a history of people not staying in it for very long.

My cats would always look at the top of the stairs at the landing. And sometimes they would scurry away from it like it was coming down after them.

  16. My dog will always bark and growl at the wall and my cats always stare at the wall. Spirits normally show themselves to children and animals not so much to adults so it is possible.
