There is a girl in my biology class whom I really like, and who I think likes me. I'd like to ask her to go out with me but I don't want to pressure her. I know she's a great girl and I'd like to get to know her better. I know many boys are trying to date her recently. I'm worried I may be too late if I don't act now! How do I ask her out without scaring her away?

Just ask.  Seriously, if she like him she will date him, if she doesn't...then she doesn't.
