  1. I doubt it. Michelin stars are usually reserved for fine dining restaurants, and as mentioned earlier, those specializing in French cuisine.

Unlike upscale French cuisine, which focuses on technique and is geared towards an ultra sophisticated elite few, authentic Tex-Mex is generally a rustic and homestyle cuisine which is meant to be simple and accessible to everyday people.

  2. Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Las Vegas was awarded a michelin star, but that's southwestern cuisine, not really Tex Mex.

I think a number of soutwestern cuisine restaurants have michelin stars, but IMHO real "tex mex" is too limited to ever get a star.

  3. i cant image that they would have a menu wide enough with enough cooking techniques involved in winning the star

  4. Bobby Flay's Mesa restaurant in Las Vegas has one Michelin star.

  5. I doubt it.  Michelin's forte seems to be French influenced foods.

However, Michelin does cover Mexican restaurants in their guide.
