Have any unusual hobbies?

Rock collecting, photography, writing, and knitting are not all that unusual. If you think it's unusual, go ahead and post it, but I am looking for something along the lines of urban exploration or letterboxing.

  1. I have a lot of unusual hobbies.  One of my favorite is re purposing or reusing items in a way that they were not intended.  For example, I collect bottles and candle jars.  Friends give me unusual liquor bottles that I turn into all kinds of things.  I add whiskey spouts to make them pourers for vinegars, oils, dish soap, hand soap, bath oil, etc.  I decorate candle jars to use for homemade goodies at Christmas.  I also do illumination, metal repose, faux finishing and collect and refurbish vintage and antique wrought and cast iron.

  2. scuba diving

  3. mountain bike - rock crawling lol.. its easy if you get in a tough spot get off pick up your bike and throw or lift it to the next challenge spot.

  4. i've gone letterboxing in the past, its lots of fun ^_^

the most unusual hobby I have now is making chain maille jewelry

  5. What you call unusual depends who you hang out with. We're in the SCA, so sword fighting is pretty normal. My relatives, on the other hand, think it's weird :)

  6. Free running and base jumping... its unusual because you must be completely mental to do them :)

  7.   rebuilding and flying WW-2 aircraft, maintaining a WW-2 aircraft carrier, (OK it is now a museum but i get to play with it) and general kids games with the real thing. Now that's a hobby I never thought I could get as a kid.

  8. Try sailing yachts,

or enjoy building yacht models and historic ship models, like
