  1. It can be very hard to make money fruit picking. banana farms in grafton nsw pay well, but its a lot of work. Berry picking is very relaxed, easy to make 40 a day. not really enough to live on.

doesnt matter where you are in australia, simply go to the local centrelink office (easy to find) and ask about seasonal work. they will point you in the right direction. well, they will point you in 'A' direction.

  2. Yes I have I used to work in Dwellingup about 2 hours from perth and we used to work apple picking until I crashed my car but theres plenty of work picking fruits strawberrys you can go down south near magret river and get a job grape picking because of all the wines they make down there. There is also plenty of work over east near brisbane and it's nice and sunny there too.

  3. DONT DO IT .ITS c**p AND YOU BE TREATED LIKE c**p . BACKPACKERS ARE 10 A PENNY . THE ONLY REASON ANYBODY DOES IT IS FOR THE SECOND VISA .

  4. Young  NSW is an interesting place around Summer, cherries, strawberries are ok. Stay away from picking beans as lousy pay. Easy to get work asd ask around.

Batlow is the place for apples.

  5. Yeah my hubbie from america actually done this and I (aussie) helped out when we started to travel around oz. Now it's pretty hard woork but trust me you can make some alright money. Alot of the backpacking places have charts of when and where different fruit seasons are and you follow that. If you go when the season isn't really in its super hard. Otherwise it's pretty good. We found Tasmania to be really good with the money, up to $200 per erson on a good day for apple picking, also have cherry season down there and we ate heaps of them, but the season was a little cap so only made like $50 a day each. But it'd good fun if your not scard of hard work, outdoors and meeting some awesome people. Some people think it's c**p and they dont make money but I truely think they don't do the research or hate doing hard work and getting dirty. Just make sure to research when and where you go.
