I live in The DC Metropolitan Area and I have tickets to see World Wrestling Entertainment's Raw on December 1st of this year at the Verizon Center. This would be my first time seeing a wrestling event live in person... I also have really good seats, which is in the 100 levels towards to front. I would like to know everything about these events such as, The Atmosphere, Hype, food, and just everything...

Thanks.

  1. The only thing fun about attending a live event is the atmosphere and the set-up; the matches are not as exciting in person than on t.v.. In general, watching it on t.v. is way better than going to it in person because there are so much excitement that you can't get from when you are their live, like: the commentating, the replays, just the whole aspect of the televise event.

  2. Have you ever been to a Concert? Have you ever been to a College Sporting Event? Have you ever been to a Professional Sporting Event? If the answer to any of the foregoing is yes, then it's just the same thing. You have concession stands, they sell food, they sell merchandise, programs, etc. The major difference is WWE encourages you to bring signs and the show will have a lot more pyrotechnics, fog machines, etc than you will get at a Baseball, Football, Basketball or Hockey Game. Other than that, they do the same things as all the other forms of entertainment mentioned above.

  3. It's really fun, and also loud.  I've been to two, and both were in the upper level.  You're seats are a lot better because they are in the lower level.  There will be shops and such where you can buy wrestling related stuff and nachos.  SD!/ECW is a little better  though because it's longer and it has less promos/squash matches and more competative matches, but Raw is still fun.  Cheer or boo whenever you want, or you'll regret it afterwards thinking that you should've made more noise.  The fireworks are pretty sick, and nothing like they seem like on TV.

    Have fun

  4. I live in virginia and I went to Monday Night Raw at the Verizon Center on July, 28, 2008. I won the ticket threw a radio station and they were in section 414. i am also going on dec. 1st. The atmosphere is pretty electric. Fans usually shout wooooooo!!! during commercial break or waiting for the show to start. Because dc is where batista is from everybody loves batista when he makes is entrance. The food is just hot dogs, nachos, hamburgers, popcorn, cotton candy just small snacks. the fireworks r a little loud but u get use to them. u should arrive to the arena and get park about 2 to 1 and a half hours before the doors open because the line to get in gets outrageously long almost surrounding the whole arena 1 hour before the doors open. [ doors open at 6:30, wrestling starts at 7:30 so get there around 4:45 to 5:15] once u get inside they have a long table where u can buy wwe official programs, wwe shirts and merchandise. the parking decks around the arena close 1 hour after the show is over. wwe events are usually over by 11:00 but sometimes they have a extra match that wont be on tv. [ the one in norfolk, va on aug. 12, 2008 had a match that was not shown on tv, hhh vs khali for wwe championship] sometimes after the show goes of the air who ever is in the main event might sign autographs and take photos with the fans on the floor seating around ringside. that's how i meet jeff hardy, chris jericho and triple H. u will have sooooo much fun this will be my 10th wwe event and i LOVE going to them. if u are a diehard fan get to the arena around 10:30am-2:00pm and watch ALL of the wrestlers drive in and get some pictures and autographs with some of the wrestlers. hope u have fun and hope this will help u!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. You could see Batista from D.C.

Don't sneak in, take it from me.  Buy your ticket... or be really really sneaky...

  6. i have..... trust me take ear plugs it gets really loud with music fireworks and screaming fans its not hype its really one of the best feelings in the world to see wwe live for the 1st time u will love it

  7. They are usually alot better in person than on tv except u got to remember there is no commentary. I have been to severaly PPV and they were pretty good. The food and drinks are kinda expensive and if u get there early enough and get around to the entrances u can usually catch a few of the starts coming to the building. Have fun and enjoy it.

  8. Last month i went to a live event and it made me love wrestling to the next level which i never knew was possible! The atmosphere of the fans and superstars is so amazing you have to expirience it to know what it feels like
