  1. I've included the link to the US Department of State "Traveling to the Caribbean, Panama, Mexico or Canada?" page...

  2. you do need a passport   i have been on 3 crusies  and on all three occasions i have   taken my passport  as it is checked before to are allowed to board the ship.

  3. Why risk it? Take your passport.

  4. in 2007 you DO need a passport for Mexico and Canada

  5. Yeah you should be ok.

  6. OLD RULE- Only need a birth certificate,

NEW RULE- January 1, 2007-  YOu must have a passport to travel anywhere outside the US including Mexico and Canada.  Talk to the cruise company directly, I'm sure they will tell you that you need one.  Yep, passports are a must now on any cruise.

  7. You still have plenty of time to just go get one.  That way you don't risk anything, it will be easier upon return, and you'll have it for next time.

However, it looks like you won't need one until 2008 if you are departing the US by boat.  Call your cruise line to confirm this or just go get one to be safe.  We always use our on cruises.  It's just so much easier.

  8. you may want one just in case you get off the boat and go into Mexico! so just to be safe get one and if you don't have one then maybe you should get one!
