  1. Some interesting coffee shops in the red light district hehe

  2. Are you after the "brown" coffee shops?  You can pick up guide books which give details of these!

  3. google amsterdam coffeeshop guide, there is an amazing free online guide to them all with customer reviews...but you have to check out Centraal (just over the road from the station) its a little place, but nice amounts and prices...stay away from Grasshopper/Bulldog etc..very touristy...low amounts and quality for high prices...go to the little Dutch named ones on the outside of the Centrum district for the best atmosphere/deals

  4. Hill Street Blues is a personal favourite of mine - very chilled and music isn't too loud etc and their own 'Hill Street Special' is nice weed and reasonably priced.  If you're not too fussed about sitting indoors go to Tweede Kamer next to Het Spui - lovely weed in there, and reasonably priced.  Also try Stones on Warmoestraat (1st street you will see if you go into the Redlight from Centraal Station or the Damrak) they are 1 of the few remaining coffeeshops allowed to serve alcohol as well as weed - they also do a cracking Full English Breakfast.

To be honest near enough any coffeeshop is worth going in except any of the Bulldogs or Grasshoppers (tourist trap rip offs in my opinion)
