Have carb problems on riding mower see details below?

Have a kohler 17 hp single cyl. that has a plugged carb,need to get it running quick with out rebuilding just now any ideas

  1. If you are sure it is the carb that is clogged up, you might try blowing it out LIGHTLY with compressed air. If it is compacted with dirt and debris, you will have to rebuild it. Make sure the filter is clean before reassembling, and most important use fresh gasoline. Dispose of the old gas. It is also a good idea to change the spark plug to make sure it is getting a good spark to the fuel/air mix.

  2. If you mean the jets are plugged with dirt or varnish the only way to clean it up is to tear it down.  To put it back together you need new gaskets and diaphragms.  Essentially that is a rebuild.
