Have chicken pox before and how long????

How old were you or your kids when they chickenpox. I Had chicken when I was 5 3/4 year old and it only lasted one week.

My son was 4 when he had chicken pox.  He was only actually sick a few days, but the sores lasted a week or so.  I caught them from him, I was 29 and was REALLY sick.  I'd had them when I was younger but evidently not enough of a case to build my immunity.  It is much more serious when adults get chicken pox.  There is form of pneunomia that develops in adults that can cause death.

My girl was vaccinated before she had chickenpox, she had it when she was 10 and lasted for 1-2 days.
